Abba, Father
I am here on my knees, asking you to watch after my son. He is a good boy, with a caring heart, who has lost his way.
You gave me him to me for just a season. I have always known he wasn’t truly mine. I even questioned what you were thinking when you put him in my care.
I am so grateful you trusted me with his life.
The time has come that I must let him go. He is out looking for something. My prayer is he will find you. Lord, bring him home.
He doesn’t have to come back home to me. I just ask that you come live in him. Direct him, protect him, reveal yourself to him.
Many times he has told me he can’t see you. He hasn’t seen what you have done. Please call his name. Please be mindful of him.
I have been under your shield of project, Lord. I know that it is true. Even when I was unaware of it, even when I didn’t ask for it, you kept me safe. You kept me close.
Please do the same for my son, your son.
